Accomplished executive in the nonprofit sector, serving as the Chief Executive Officer for Dallas Furniture Bank, passionate for advocacy effecting homeless families, literacy, women and children. She was awarded the CBS DFW Texans with Character honor in 2014 for her work with Dallas Furniture Bank. She is an active volunteer in the community and has served as a Board Member for Literacy Instruction for Texas, The Bryans House and The Nonprofit CEO Council. She is member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. Aliah is currently working on her first children's book series and resides in Grand Prairie, Texas.
