Aliana Martes

Greetings My name is Aliana L. Martes López. I'm a 21 years old girl who resides in the town of Punta Santiago in Humacao Puerto Rico. I consider my self beautiful ,helper, grateful and a funny person.Since I was little I have liked science, even though I didn't have a branch of science that I wanted to study, I knew that I liked it. In high school I took a chemistry class that I liked, I even went to a chemistry talk and right there I knew that that was what I wanted to study, it immediately sparked an interest in me. But after graduating from high school I got pregnant and decided not to study, I just wanted to dedicate myself to being a mother before anything else.

After 2 years I went to university to look for options in which I could study something short but that I liked and I found the Chemical Technology course which is an associate degree in Chemistry. Without thinking twice, I was already enrolled in the course in the afternoon. I was surprised but excited about this big step in my life and I started it. I quickly connected with the subject and it opened my mind in many ways. To this day, I continue to study this wonderful branch of chemistry that has given me so much knowledge. I am passionate about it and if God allows it, next year I will obtain my graduation diploma that has cost me so much effort.
