Ali Brownrigg
Hi! My name is Ali and I'm a Seattle-based freelance writer (and part-time PR professional, copywriter and social media monkey) with a focus on fashion, food, culture and the Pacific Northwest lifestyle.
I covered shopping and fashion as a columnist for NWsource.com, a Seattle Times website, from 2007 to 2011, where in addition to providing editorial content, I managed the site's blog "Minding the Store."
Most recently I was asked by the Seattle Times to resume shopping coverage in a new editorial insert in their Sunday ad section and Zagat hired me to edit their Seattle shopping guide. I have a column in Seattle magazine called "Parenting," which is short monthly print piece about cool stuff for kids and their parents, and I also freelance for Racked.com, 7x7.com and Alaska/Horizon Airlines in-flight magazine.
On the PR tip, I assist the PR firm Gruman & Nicoll with their clients, ranging from a luxury Inn in Sonoma to high end restaurants in the Seattle area. I manage their social media effort, pitch and write ad and press release copy.
