Growing up, I didn't know I would scoop cat poop for a living...

A cat sitter and behaviourist, I spend 90% of my waking hours with a wide variety of cats (and sometimes their human...) You can join my adventure (and misadventure) on alicechauginguene.com

I have moved from Hong Kong to Paris, then to Dublin with my current cat of 11 years. I have travelled 10627.48km with him.

I am the founder of International Praise The Cat Day - a movement to advocate respect towards 'cat people' and their beloved cats; I am also a member of Pet Sitters International, Animal Behavior Society, Feline Advisory Bureau, Irish Writers' Union and The Alliance of Independent Authors.

When I am not sitting cats, I am writing about cats. You might want to check out my research on military cats on here.

Since having my own son on 2014, I am fascinated by childbirth. I am also shocked to see the lack of support to new parents in our society nowadays. Coming from a culture where family and social support is the norm, I thought this is something I can offer. I am now also a trained Babywearing Consultant, Birth and Postpartum Doula.

In my past life, I worked as Executive Officer for the Hong Kong Government, Logistic Manager for a trading company in Paris and Personal Assistant for a bank in Dublin. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies, specialized in French Language, Culture & Civilization. My graduation research titled "Globalization And It's Effects On French Culture".

In my spare time, I like to knit, read, practise Tai Chi and self defence.
