Alice Elwell

Alice Elwell is a PhD candidate whose thesis explores the affective intensities generated by critical literacy in secondary English classrooms. As Head of English at an International Baccalaureate school, she has co-designed curricula with Year 11 and 12 students and is passionate about inquiry, student voice, and democratic schooling practices. Her research interests include feminist pedagogies, critical affective literacy, posthuman methodologies, and theory as method. Alice is a full-time school leader and teaches Language and Literature, Global Politics, and Theory of Knowledge in Brisbane, Queensland.
