Hi, I'm Alicia.
I'm currently a junior undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I'm majoring in Resource Economics with a concentration in Managerial Economics. I love to travel, play & listen to music, and cycle when I'm not working for UMass Transit as a driver and dispatcher.
I'm looking forward to graduating college and testing the waters in the insurance sector, hopefully in a business/ economics analytics position. In the meantime, I'm enjoying all my business and economics courses--I love using quantitative analysis to solve problems!
The thing that really gets me going and allows me to give my all to whatever I'm doing is my passion for new experiences. Whether solving a novel case study, travelling by any means possible to a new location, or taking a different trail, I love exploring the possibilities that come with new experiences. I often find that they open up my mind and allow me to work through the more mundane parts of life, because I know that there's always something different around the corner. This is just one reason why my motto is "Cogli L'attimo"--colloquial Italian for "seize the day". I truly believe that life is too short to not seize every moment, and what better way to do that than to always strive to experience something new?
