Alicia's passion for creative expression began in elementary school where her finger paintings and multi-media dioramas often brought her the designation of "Artist of the Week." She followed her artistic intuition from childhood to the present and takes pride in a successful and rewarding career as a graphic designer. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from a conservatory arts college in New York led Alicia to landing a graphic design job at a high-powered advertising firm in Manhattan. Working in the fast-paced, advertising capital of the world set her up for success. Dealing with a variety of clients, including prominent names in fashion and resorts, in a deadline-driven environment helped her to gain a strong understanding of branding in print design and strengthened her capacity to work well under pressure.
Alicia's personal and business environment shifted when she moved to Colorado and accepted a graphic design position for a marketing firm in Denver. Working on brochures, direct mail, and branding with clients in educational institutions broadened her design skills and ingenuity. The exciting opportunity to re-design a magazine geared toward education professionals established her expertise in magazine design and production.
Alicia's quest for new challenges led her to southern California where she teamed up with the marketing department of a direct-sales jewelry company. Collaborating closely with the creative director, she was responsible for art directing the company's web designer on various online projects such as eMarketing campaigns, eCards and social media, in addition to designing the company's print and online magazine. Executive staff have consistently recognized Alicia's positive attitude, creativity, reliability and team accomplishments.
A home office provides Alicia the ability to use her talents to accommodate the design needs of clients on a freelance basis. A classic background in fine arts guided Alicia's creativity to the contemporary thinking of today's technology aesthetics.
