Alicia Howard is an accomplished landowner, researcher, and real estate investor based in South Florida. A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Alicia holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Pennsylvania State University. During her Master of Public Health Sciences program at the College of Medicine, she distinguished herself as a published author, with her first peer-reviewed paper appearing in Anticancer Research.

Alicia’s real estate investment career began in 1995, with a focus on residential properties. She has successfully secured grant awards for her rental projects serving low-income communities. Since relocating to South Florida in 2010, she has strategically expanded her real estate portfolio to include Florida markets. Alicia has partnered with Dauphin, Pinellas, Palm Beach and County Housing Authorities to provide quality housing to Section 8 holders for 20+ years.

Her professional background includes a decade of progressive experience in state government, beginning briefly as a typist and quickly advancing into professional roles as Statistician and Statistical Analyst II within the Pennsylvania Departments of Labor and Industry and Public Welfare. Alicia transitioned to the private sector as a Senior Health Economics Consultant at Optum, a UnitedHealth Group company, where she earned a six-figure income working remotely before dedicating herself full-time to real estate in 2020.

Today, Alicia manages six residential rental properties, five of which are optimized for short-term and shared accommodations on Airbnb, comprising 11 active listings. One property is operated as a recovery home, further diversifying her investment strategy and demonstrating her commitment to community impact and financial growth.
