Alidad Moghaddam

Alidad Moghaddam is a London-based tech CEO, VC & PE operating advisor, board member, and investor. His career spans start-ups, scale-ups, growth companies and large global enterprises in a variety of commercial, growth and product leadership roles.

Alidad is currently CEO of Blue Light Card, the UK's leading discount marketplace serving the NHS, emergency services, social care sector, and armed forces communities. He has served as senior digital advisor to leading VC & PE funds such as H&F and Seedcamp on their tech portfolio companies. He is also an angel investor with a portfolio of 50+ early-stage tech companies across the US, UK and Europe. Previously, Alidad was the International General Manager and VP of Growth at trainline, where he helped lead the company to its successful IPO and induction into the FTSE 250.

Before joining trainline, Alidad was the Group Commercial Director at blinkbox Entertainment, a digital entertainment platform, where he was responsible for strategy, business planning, and corporate development. Prior to blinkbox, he was part of the executive team at private equity-backed fintech company TotallyMoney, where he ran marketing and product development. Prior to TotallyMoney, Alidad was part of the senior management team at Moneysupermarket.com, Europe’s largest finance and insurance aggregator, where he managed one of its subsidiaries and was product manager for the company’s consumer credit vertical.

Alidad also previously worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company in New York and London and held strategy and business development roles at American Express in New York. He also graduated with an MBA from Harvard and a BA with Honors in Economics and International Relations from Brown University.
