Born and raised in Northern Mississippi, Ali Jardine always knew that she wanted to be an artist. Her first art teacher was a surrealist painter who encouraged her to create from dreams and fancies. These after school lessons would be pivotal in creating the way Ali looked at making art. After college, wanderlust took hold and sent her on a series of road trips across the United States that eventually led to Yosemite National Park where she worked, hiked the Sierras, and fell in love with California and her husband. From the moment Ali got her first iPhone in 2009, she knew that iPhone Art and photography was her passion. Today she shoots and edits using her iPhone 5. It is a challenge that constantly pushes her to think in new ways and keeps her eyes open to the world around her. In 2013 Ali was honored with 7 images being chosen for the Mobile Photo Awards. She has had work hung in New York City, in Los Angeles at the world's largest mobile art festival, at MacWorld 2013 and in Sweden. She has been featured in numerous blogs and publications, including National Geographic online, Leveled Magazine, KIOSK magazine and Le Nouvel Observateur. Ali is rather nomadic but for now resides on the ruggedly wild Sonoma coast of California with her husband, Jason and their two children, Gabriel and Pippin. She is obsessed with alternate universes, flight in all its forms, and volkswagen buses. Nothing makes her happier than traveling with her family and taking photos with her iPhone.
