Having achieved an Honours degree in Psychology, Alina continued her training and became a qualified Integrative Clinical Hypnotherapy practitioner and Emotional Freedom Technique therapy practitioner with outstanding results. Alina has also achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy and has years of experience in helping and supporting people deal and cope with their feelings and emotions and painful pasts. Therefore, knowing several different approaches to therapy enables Alina to be able to tailor the therapy she offers to the needs of each client and use what works for each person. Alina believes that each person has the resources they need within themselves and that part of the role of therapist is to help uncover these resources and their hidden potential in order to achieve desired outcomes of the client and lasting changes. Part of that is teaching you how to be your own therapist.
Alina enjoys volunteering with different charities. She worked in the past for Victim Support and at present she offers therapy to clients at affordable rates at Wimbledon Guild and Merton Carers Support.
Alina has extensive experience working previously in management in social care, having experience with people diagnosed with mental health problems, learning disabilities and also with teenagers with challenging behaviours. Her approach achieved successful results in rehabilitating her clients, thus proving that her use of such an unique mixed therapeutic approach leads to fast and lasting effects.
Alina's unique therapeutic skills, experience and genuine wish to help others guided numerous people recovery from a painful past or present, helping them move on and use their inner resources to be happy and successful. Her unique approach and combination of training techniques make her a successful and well respected therapist.
Alina is also multilingual and can offer therapy in 2 languages, being fluent in English, Romanian, and has very good knowledge of Italian.
