Alisha Smith

New York, NY

I'm Alisha Smith. I've spent my career fighting for and protecting investors—first in private practice and then in the public sector at the New York State Office of the Attorney General. During my four-year tenure there, I served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Investor Protection and Securities Bureau.

My recent accomplishments include:
• $61 billion in recovery for investors as part of the auction rate securities matters.
• Member of a small team of attorneys that gathered evidence and wrote briefs, winning partial Summary Judgment against the defendants in the People of the State of NY v. Maurice R. Greenberg and Howard I. Smith.
• Cross-examined countless deposition witnesses.
• Took numerous Martin Act examinations as part of Bureau investigations.

I am open to new opportunities.
