Alisha Sweatt is a student living in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She is a senior at Winthrop University pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a minor in German. Alisha is interested in writing for blogs, magazines, broadcast agencies and many other media outlets. Alisha currently is the Lifestyle Editor of Winthrop’s The Roddey McMillan Record. She is also the founder of Hip Hop Makes Me Feel, which is a movement that is focused around Hip Hop Makes Me Feel is a movement concentrated on spreading the knowledge of Hip Hop as well as influencing a positive reputation on the culture of Hip Hop. Alisha travels to universities to discuss different topics that can be related to Hip Hop.

Besides Hip Hop Makes Me Feel, Alisha is an intern at Winthrop Sport Network where she works with the Marketing department.

As her independent study Alisha conducted research on media use in German companies and then traveled to Germany to interview the companies she researched.

She is a member of the Xi Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is also the president of the Winthrop University Association for Women in Communication and the Association of Black Journalists.
