Environmental scientist, knitter, wanderer, and occasional gardener. Fervent supporter of public transit, cycling, local businesses and local food & agriculture. Plant nerd. Erstwhile forest researcher and carbon offset policy worker. Focused on "thinking globally" while "acting locally" to help make Alberta better for everyone.

I'm a bit of an environmental generalist; I've worked in and continue to be interested in sustainability, biodiversity, reclamation, climate change mitigation, community betterment, and making a positive impact. I'm a fan of good fiction, grizzy & black bears, offbeat movies, berry-picking, summer music festivals, and knitting at the local tea shop. Oh, and, you know, I enjoy having fun, exploring the outdoors, and meeting good people, too.

Please find me on Twitter if you want to interact. I'm a terribly useless blogger, but I will gladly engage in discussions about all things environment and nature. ... and maybe knitting, too... 140 characters at a time!
