Entrepreneurship and Start-up Consultant dedicated to building a sector-leading entrepreneurship and start-up offer that actively involves a wide spectrum of students and graduates, offering them the necessary support and resources to nurture their ideas, launch businesses or social enterprises, cultivate a diverse career portfolio, excel as freelancers, and embrace an entrepreneurial mindset.
I hold an advisory position on the Health and Life Sciences Cluster board providing the Combined Authority with insight into how its sector operates, opportunities for growth, innovation or investment across the cluster, identifying opportunities for linkages between the board and the wider economy to drive productivity, investment and employment. The board’s remit is to influence policy, stimulate economic growth, productivity and competitiveness whilst supporting the city region in its ambitions for inclusive growth and sustainability.
Passionate about student success, which includes work on improving a student’s sense of wellbeing, belonging, resilience, confidence, social mobility, retention, and attainment.
Founder & Director of Start-up Liverpool and There She Knows- Supporting the development of a healthy start-up ecosystem within the Liverpool City Region making business education and consultancy accessible.
My previous roles including working in within:
Liverpool Bio-Innovation Hub and Biobank (LBIH), I was responsible for providing business support and incubation space, including laboratory facilities to Start-Ups within Health and Life Sciences. I developed a range of knowledge exchange events and marketing activities. The LBIH was an ERDF-funded project within the University of Liverpool.
LCR Founders Innovation Coach, working towards the growth of co-founded start-ups in the Liverpool City Region, a collaborative project with partner Liverpool John Moores University.
I work in collaboration with The Knowledge Quarter to attract companies and investment into the Liverpool City Region, support the growth of Start Up’s, SME’s, and Spin-offs, and raise the profile of Liverpool City and the University of Liverpool as an investment location.
