Listen to my music

'Thank you for the most effective singing lesson I have ever had.'

These words. written by an adult choral singer, are typical of the responses to my teaching of singing. I now teach privately on Tues/Wed and in schools on Mon/Th/Fri. I have a waiting list for the afterschool slots.

I am Director of the Harlow-based De Merc Chamber Choir (5 concerts already in space of 5 months!) The next (on the theme What is our Life?) is on Saturday 28th April at All Saints Church, Nazeing Essex. Details at www.demerc.org.uk

I am also director of Music at St Mary-at-Finchley Parish Church with a thriving adult and youth choir. We recently sang in a concert at Alyth Synagogue: Two Faiths, One Voice. This was a super experience for all performers and audience and we loved the chance to share our music. We also raised over £1K for Homeless Action in Barnet. Our church's chamber music concert series this year features Jazz, Clarinet and Guitar duo and a concert by Memory Lane Singers. More details to follow!

'Alison has taught my daughter for over six years and in that time, apart from coaching her towards successfully completing her grades, she has helped her with all the singing techniques she needs to sing well - from breathing properly to standing still (as she was such a fidget). We are extremely grateful to Alison for her tuition and in-depth knowledge of music and the voice.' (Parent)

'highly musical, talented and vivacious' (Parent)

‘Alison, you are a great musician who through your sensitivity to others encourages all ages and abilities to develop their musicianship to their very best.
