Hello. I was born, grew up, and have lived and worked most of my life abroad. Pretty common in today's global village; but less common in decades past: pre-internet and ubiquitous technology, and pre-mass tourism/transport.
The twist in my story is that I'm a disabled expat. From personal experience, it's still not very common for disabled people to live and work independently abroad as I've done, especially not of my generation. Consequently, I think I've got an interesting, quite unique tale to tell and share.
My blog (disabledexpat.wordpress.com) is organised chronologically. Each entry will be a complete entry in itself, but for greater context and understanding, readers should delve into the archives. Comments are welcome.
