About me:

I'm a video game nut - particularly for games that involve sneaking around and stealing from the rich! Personal favourites include the Thief series (of course), the Last of Us, Hitman: Blood Money, Grim Fandango, and hopefully GTA5.

Bands/Artists I'd pay to see live has got to be the Black Keys, Imelda May, Elbow and Mumford.

My ultimate goal: To travel around the world to all the major world festivals - Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Mexico's Day of the Dead, the Masquerade at Venice, the Rio Di Jeneiro carnival...

My job:

I manage the Growth Ops team - our core mission is optimising the PPC landing pages of HX's 6 brands in order to maximise contribution (profit) by increasing bookings.

I work with both designers and developers to analyse pages, come up with testing plans, mock-up wireframes and designs, brain-storm new concepts, build in changes or completely new pages, initiate tests and analyse results, and oversee roll-out. I'm involved in every stage from beginning to end.

How do we do it:

We focus on the key elements of the page that affect the UX for our customers - we optimise our search form to make it as intuitive and as simple to use as possible. We remove elements that can cause friction or distraction. We optimise visuals so customers know that they're in the right place and that we're the company to book with. We build our pages on the newest tech available so what our customers see is polished, silky and dynamic. We optimise for speed so our pages load as fast as lightning. We're results-driven - we measure the performance of our tests using robust analytics so that there's 100% confidence ahead of roll-out. Best of all, we deliver!
