Greetings, I’m Amran. Amran Al Kamzari, from Oman, earned his Master's degree in Marine Sciences from Sultan Qaboos University, where he received the prestigious first-place award for his outstanding thesis in postgraduate studies in 2016. Presently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Natural and Environmental Sciences at Newcastle University in the UK. His research focuses on 'Investigating barriers to the effective international management of untraceable oil pollution: towards greater protection of the Musandam Peninsula Coastline.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Amran holds professional certifications including the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and has successfully obtained the Coral Check license. Currently serving as the Director of the Marine Emergency Center at the Environmental Authority, Amran boasts over two decades of prior experience in diverse environmental domains encompassing marine, fisheries, nature conservation, and environmental education.
His contributions extend to international representation of the Sultanate, presenting specialized environmental papers, and organizing environmental exhibitions.
