Murtadha Alkhunaizi is a dynamic young Saudi oud/violin player and composer.

He began developing his passion for music at the age of five and started to play Oud at the age of thirteen. Due to the lack of violinists in his region, by age of nineteen he started to teach himself to play violin. Since then, He has participated in many concerts organized by the Saudi Arabian Society of Culture and Arts as a violinist, and also engaged in composing soundtracks, songs, and music pieces.

Second in his heart to music, Murtadha is passionate about re-emphasizing the Saudi Arabian identity in music through the renewal of traditional arts. In doing so, he believes that Saudi musical heritage should be studied academically to identify the prominent features of its identity and consolidate them through modern arts with the required innovation to keep abreast of progress in the art field.
