Cardiff, Wales, Uk
Currently the Head Coach of the Cardiff Valkyries.
I have always had an interest in American Football, since I lived in American as a young boy before moving to the UK. After a period playing for the South Wales Warriors as a WR, I was lucky enough to getting involved in the coaching of the local university team - The Cardiff Cobras.
From 2006/7, I began to shift my involvement in the sport to the coaching aspect, undertaking my Level 1 qualification and also having the immense privilege of being asked to be an assistant coach for the Southern All-star Team in 2007 and then on the GB Student Team for their trip to Oslo.
In the years that followed, I continued my coaching role, initially as the WR coach for both the South Wales Warriors and Cardiff Cobras, before also adding the Special Teams Co-ordinator role at both clubs as well. I have also now obtained the Level 2 coaching qualification to help supplement my personal development.
Special Teams is one aspect that I love to coach. An often underrated aspect of the game, I love to design play books that (I hope!) not only allow players the best opportunity to succeed but also are innovative and exciting.
I have been fortunate to work with many great coaches - too many to mention - and a lot of their views and will feed into what I do.
As of April 2016, I stepped down from the Cardiff Cobras to take up my new role as Head Coach of an all female American Football team - the Cardiff Valkyries.
