I am a first year student at Toronto's Ryerson University in the Journalism program. I was exposed to journalism at an early age as my dad worked for The Globe and Mail as well as The Toronto Star for a combined 40 years. His busy, yet exciting life as a journalist made me want to one day work in the business. I have contributed to Word, my High School newspaper, as well as written many other self-published pieces to satisfy my journalistic interest.
I have played high level competitive baseball for the last 10 years of my life and am currently playing on Ryerson's varsity team. I have also worked part-time for the North York Baseball Association as an umpire.
I have traveled to many places around the world, including all over the US, Mexico (although briefly), France and the UK. I plan to use my experiences to the best of my ability to become an informed, fair, and hardworking journalist.
