Mix one-part Joy, and one-part pain; add soul – and taste the sound of Allegra Dolores. These award-winning Chicago-born biological sisters are a multi-talented force of nature. Dolores is the emcee with overtones of sarcastic humor, while Allegra carries an edgy rocker vibe with an element of negro spiritual. And just when you think you’ve got them figured – out comes the harmony in their singing voices.

Molded out of influences that range from Hip Hop to Punk Rock, with soulfully beautiful harmonies, these songwriter/singers have been likened to the Jones Girls. On a performance level, they are a rising sleeper with polished stage presence and vocal commands thanks to paying dues on stage together or separately, with the likes of dead prez, Omar, Siji, Nadira Shakoor and Rahbi, among others.

Allegra Dolores is also an emcee favorite among the indie hip hop community in Chicago, while capitalizing on out-of-the-box opportunities like Dolores’ acting work which can been seen in the opening credits to HBO’s True Blood series.

Their song The Music-OK was featured on the soundtrack to the Dennis Dortch indie film, A Good Day To Be Black & Sexy. They have since written and recorded three theme songs for the independent black web channel, Black & Sexy TV. Songs include: “Chemistry”, for the series, RoomieLoverFriends, produced by The Awkward Black Girl, herself, Issa Rae; the opening song for Hello, Cupid and most recently, "Hide and Seek" for the Sexless series.

In 2015, they were awarded Favorite Theme Song for "Chemistry" at the 1st annual Black And Sexy Awards in Los Angeles.

They have performed across the country and shared the stage with an array of well known acts, but they pride themselves in the collaboration with the members of their band JDs Revenge. With JDs Revenge, the ladies marry harmony and grooves to a rock/punk/soul soul mixture of sounds provided by bandmates, Treneka Lenay, Frankie Blaze and Diesel.
