violin, Teacher, and performer in Hong Kong
Allegro Yeung, a young, yet promising, gifted, and rising Hong Kong based violinist, has devoted his time exclusively to chamber music and appeared frequently as soloist in numerous concerts. He has previously held the position of concertmaster with the University of Minnesota Campus Orchestra, and is the founder and artistic director of the International Music Ensemble in Seattle and University of Minnesota Chamber Music in Minneapolis.
Mr. Yeung demonstrated his passion, determination, and talent on music throughout his adolescent. All these together with his dedication, Mr. Yeung did not only go beyond his peers and students before him in a very short time, but he also achieved level 8th in the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in mere two years under the guidance of Calvin Wong in Hong Kong and Su Jianping in Mainland China.
Shortly after Mr. Yeung’s exceptional musicianship had been recognized, he spent a decade in the United States to seek new breakthrough on his skills. On this journey, he was fortunate to receive advance music education and training from Young-Nam Kim in the University of Minnesota, Raphael Klayman in New York, and Yuriy Mikhlin in Seattle. After becoming a well-equipped violinist, Mr. Yeung returned to Hong Kong with his eagerness to share his knowledge and expertise on music with the younger generation.
After years of global education and training, Mr. Yeung has developed a unique teaching style to effectively nurture future musicians, a style that emphasizes on fundamentals such as posture, tempo, relaxation, intonation, and pushes the learning curve by using both traditional and innovative teaching methods.
