A Vero Beach, Florida-based institutional investment sales executive with more than three decades of experience, Al Lhota began his career at Scotia McLeod. He worked 11 years at the New York City firm, where he sold fixed-income and high-yield income products. At UBS, where he worked for two years, he focused on high-yield income products. From there, Al Lhota became a partner at Libra Investments and was a top producer for the secondary trading operation.
Upon selling Libra Investments to US Bancorp, Mr. Lhota was appointed executive director of UBS in Stamford, Connecticut. He was again a top producer throughout his six years at the company. During his last two years there, he managed the firm’s high-yield business in London, England. He has since worked for RBS Greenwich Capital, Knight Capital, and Stifel. In addition to high-yield sales and research, he garnered experience in credit sales, emerging markets, and mortgage-backed securities.
Most recently, Mr. Lhota leveraged his investment sales experience to advise Southeast Grocers through a Chapter 11 reorganization.
