I graduated from McMaster University in 2009 with an honours BA in Communications Studies and History. After traveling the world (one of my favorite things to do!) I started working at the MS Society of Canada, Calgary & Area Chapter. In my three years as the Coordinator of the ENERFLEX MS Walk & Run I have helped plan three full scale fundraising events, including focus on participant communication, logistics, sponsor relations and budgeting. I also assist with MS Society communications and help plan other fundraising events, including our annual Bike Tours and Whisky Festival.
The best part of my job has been meeting new people and making a difference. I have experience with a wide variety of stakeholders, from board members to participants to sponsors. Those of us in not-for-profit know we have to be 'jack of all trades' and take on a wide variety of tasks! I enjoy knowing that what I do truly helps people in need. I can utilize my communications, organizational and administrative skills effectively, while knowing I'm making a meaningful impact on our world.
In my free time I love to read, be active and enjoying spending time with friends and family. I also love to travel and enjoy learning new things. I am always up for a challenge.
