Ashley Allison

Hey there, I’m Ashley. I’m a student athlete raised in Seattle and going to college in New York City for soccer and biology. I love adventures and learning about the world around me, I do that through traveling, reading, and writing a lot. I would say I write in a very detailed way, I have a lot of thoughts and they kind of always just end up all on the page. My stories reflect my interest in fighting for my beliefs, and my dedication to school, however, I think I could have done more. My journalism class that I took this year taught me a lot. I learned how to write in a completely different, more concise style, and I learned a lot of the things I don't like. I'm very creative, and critical, and I have had a lot of experiences in life, so for me, I would rather write advice, reviews and short stories for people to read. It was very hard for me to write in a concise manner without expressing my overt opinion. As I said, I have a lot of things to say, and being restricted by relevance and location was challenging. I felt like a lot of my passions didn't shine through so much because I felt as though I had to follow a strict rubric and way of writing. It was a very good experience, but a more detailed, freelance, form of writing is more my vibe.
