My top five strengths according StrengthsQuest are competition, achiever, harmony, context and discipline. The strength that I identify with the most is achiever. To me, achiever means someone that is never satisfied with mediocre. This is someone who expects success and nothing less. They always are never satisfied and always work hard to be the best they can be. I identify with this strength the most because it is very important to me to be successful in all elements of my life and I always expect the best out of myself. I think this also works with my strength in competition; I always want to be the best no matter what. This has a big impact on my academic life because I always want the best grades and expect that out of myself. Therefore, I am highly motivated to achieve.

The time management activities we completed this semester in EHE survey was very helpful. My favorite activity was using the daily time log. For each hour of the day, we had to write down what we were doing. It showed me how I was spending my time and that time management is extremely important and has a lot to do with success in my schoolwork. It really made me realize that some activities were taking up too much of my time and that others needed more attention. Time management will be important for the rest of life and I believe this activity made a big impact on how I will manage everything that goes on in my life.

My second favorite activity during EHE survey was the curriculum plan activities. For this assignment, we had to tentatively plan out what classes we were going to take for the next four semesters. I was stressing out about scheduling for Spring 2016. I had no idea what classes to take or how to figure this out. Doing this assignment helped me to learn what classes I needed and which classes fit those requirements. It made scheduling easy and now I have a good idea of what my schedule will look like for the next three semesters. This definitely an important thing to learn early in college so it will make the future years less stressful. I am now much more familiar with the classes offered, my major requirements, and the scheduling website.
