Currently living in Miami, Florida, Allison Dinsmore is actively developing her career as a Special Education Teacher. She graduated from G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School in 2001. After earning her Associate degree in the Arts from Miami Dade Community College, Allison Dinsmore transferred to Florida Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, to pursue her Bachelor’s degree. While completing her undergraduate work, Allison Dinsmore served for nearly two years as a School-Age Child Care Counselor at Hammock Pointe Elementary School. She maintained responsibility for large groups of students in grades K through 5 during after school activities. In 2007, Allison Dinsmore attained her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education. Shortly afterwards, Allison Dinsmore accepted a position as a Special Education Teacher at Congress Middle School in Boynton Beach, Florida. Working with children displaying an array of physical, emotional, intellectual, and behavioral disabilities, Allison Dinsmore helped to established important academic goals for each of her students. Recognized for her exceptional diligence as a young teacher, Allison Dinsmore received a nomination for Rookie Teacher of the Year for The School District of Palm Beach County.
In addition to her teaching credentials, Allison Dinsmore’s professional experience includes serving as a Secretary Assistant at the University of Miami School of Law and as a Service Agent at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. A strong enthusiast of high school color guard teams, she has also previously worked as a Color Guard Coach and Director at Miami Palmetto Senior High School and West Boca Raton High School. Committed to promoting extracurricular activities and art programs in public schools, Allison Dinsmore previously performed notable community service as a participant with the nonprofit organization Youth Education in the Arts. For her leisure, Allison Dinsmore enjoys many diverse hobbies, including scrapbooking, playing tennis, and snorkeling. In all her pursuits, Allison Dinsmore is inspired by the words of Winston Churchill, “Never, never, never give up.”
