Allison Everett

New York, NY

Allison is currently an Alternate Senator at-large for New York University's Student Senators Council, the highest elected representative body of students in NYU student government.

In 2012, Allison served as Presdient of NYU's Panhellenic Council, which represents over 600 young women. In addition to her commitment to Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL), Allison is involved with the NYU LGBTQ Center and Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP).

Allison brings her passion for activism and the Greek life community together through her role as the Co-Founder and Chair of Greek Allies. A group that creates awareness and inspires activism for social justice. Allison recently attended the Clinton Global Initiative University in St. Louis for her commitment to this effort.

But her activism does not stop there. Last semester Allison received a grant from CMEP for her mini documentary on LGBTQ allies (Ally-ISM). In recognition for her accomplishments this year, Allison was honored with a President's Service Award, an award that is given to less than one percent of NYU's student population.

Allison is extremely passionate about contributing to the global community as well. This past academic year, she interned 20 hours a week at the non-profit organization "goods for good", which empowers communities in Malawi to build small, sustainable businesses so that they can care for orphans. As the Marketing and Event Planning Intern, Allison juggled maintaining an active social media calendar, designing graphics for promotional campaigns, working with the goods for good Young Professional Committee, and planning large scale events like the Gala for Good.

Allison also keeps busy as a full-time student pursuing a double major in Economics and Journalism and minor in Social Entrepreneurship. But when she can find free time, Allison stays active through her love of running, enjoys photography, and loves Doctor Who marathons.
