Allison Gillespie

Hi, I’m Allison.

I’m an aspiring writer and director, but I'm really interested in all aspects of film production. I currently work as a writing and video editor on commercial projects and a podcast.

I have experience in interviewing, writing, directing, shooting and editing mostly on documentary-like projects. I would like to get involved in more narrative projects either as a writer, director, producer, camera operator or editor/colour grader, and I'm happy to take on a few roles. I love live action, but would also be interested in working with animation as it something I have very little experience with.

I am an exchange student from the University of Wollongong in Australia (which is a little south of Sydney, over here). I study a B. Communications and Media - B. Arts (Dean's Scholar), with majors inGlobal Screen Media and Creative Writing, and a minor in Technical Theatre.

I have also previously worked as a Videography Manager for Team UOW competing in the Dubai Solar Decathlon 2018 (an international engineering competition). There I was responsible for everything from conceiving ideas to publishing the final product, so I have a little experience in every aspect of video production.

I also enjoy photography, travel, and running.
