Allison Nuara is a senior at Loyola University Maryland majoring in Digital Media and Journalism.
At Loyola’s GreyCommStudios she directs and produces the news program, The Echo. As News Director one of her major contributions was to change to the current format of local news style to short, individual news stories in a segment format. Allison aspires to be an investigative and documentary style news producer. In addition, Allison has conducted high profile interviews on campus.
This past summer, Allison interned for the FOX Business Network show, Cavuto. While spending eight weeks interning for Cavuto she researched topical information for segments and background for guests on the show, created full screen graphics, greeted guests, facilitated logistics in the greenroom, shadowed editors, researched video clips and attended FOX News Channel University Seminars.
In addition, Allison interned for Katz Media Group in the Eagle Television Sales
Division in New York City. While at Katz Media she shadowed media sales assistants, processed orders, processed make goods and updated contact information and orders.
Throughout her years at Loyola, Allison sang in Loyola's only all-female a capella group, The Belles. The Belles, alongside The Chimes, the all-male a capella group, hold a concert at the end of each semester called Chordbusters. It’s a popular event on campus and always well attended. The Belles also sing at various events throughout campus such as Relay for Life and at events in Baltimore. The Belles and Chimes record an annual CD of their music. In addition, The Belles have traveled along the east coast competing in international competitions. They have competed in ICCA's at Duke in 2012 and The University of Florida in May 2013.
