Alice Ragland, Ph.D.

Dr. AlI s Ragland has more than 10 years of experience in education and activism, as well as a professional background in consulting, school leadership, teaching, diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and liberation. She has worked in every level of education, from pre-k through postgraduate. She has recently served as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Cristo Rey Columbus High School and the Social Justice Engagement Specialist in The Ohio State University Multicultural Center. Dr. Ragland has extensive experience providing anti-oppression workshops, professional development seminars and cultural competency coaching for students, educators, nonprofit leaders, and other professionals. She has helped to organize countless teach-ins, guerrilla education seminars, and conferences. Dr. Ragland has a Ph.D. in Multicultural and Equity Studies in Education and is a lecturer in the Department of African and African American Studies at The Ohio State University. She has taught various courses in the OSU College of Education and Human Ecology focused on social justice, multicultural education, African American language, and decolonization. She is currently a race & ethnic studies professor at Columbus College of Art & Design
