Prothom Alo (Bengali: প্রথম আলো; lit. 'First Light') is the largest Bengali language daily bangla newspaper, published from Dhaka. It is owned by the Transcom Group. The newspaper is the highest circulated daily newspaper in Bangladesh according to Bangladesh Audit Bureau of Circulations (B ABC). According to National Media Survey 2014, conducted by MRB Bangladesh, more than 4.3 million people read the print version of Prothom Alo every day. The online portal of Prothom Alo is the most visited Bangla website in the world. It started its journey in 1998.
