I've always been indecisive on most aspects of my life, especially when it comes to arts and law. Drawing and painting has been a release from stress for me and a way to build up my creativity. Since the time when I would doodle in a princess coloring book as a child, I felt a spark with arts. As I grew older I couldn't decide whether to pursue arts or law, as I have always had a special interest in legal aspects of life. But what is stopping me from doing both? My innate response to be indecisive and ignore the problem until I need to usually would consume me, but my imagination soared at the endless possibilities that could result from these two passions being combined. I would stay up at night making up scenarios of legally defending an artist in the case of a stolen painting, or somehow being legally required to paint to save a case. Once I acknowledged the insanity of those possible career paths, I came to an agreement with myself that I will never let myself lose the art side of me as I pursue law, because I feel it is so important to have that balance between stress that comes with education, and mindless happiness when it comes to doing a hobby. It is so easy to lose sight of that when competing for a great life in an extremely competitive world. I am determined to never lose that spark that comes from drawing and painting, and if I do I will pull out the old princess coloring book and start from square one.
