Alma Ocampos Irala
Project Manager, Teacher, and Recruiter in New Jersey
From teaching Mathematics in prison in Paraguay, and coordinating a Turtle Conservation Project in Panama to leading workshops for teachers in Ecuador, and interning at a Latine Immigrant NGO in New York City. I am an aspiring Minister of Education and professional who is passionate about strengthening teamwork and productivity through communication, time management, collaboration, and objective/critical thinking. I founded my own NGO at the age of 17, being the youngest teenager to teach in prison in Paraguay, and currently I am part of Piensa LATAM, an organization that works with young former Mathematics-olympics participants from Russia, Uruguay, Taiwan, the US, Brazil, and Paraguay to deliver a more significant and dynamic learning apporach to students who are training for the olympiads.
