Dr. Ahmad Al Miaari holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on developing and validating novel thermal management strategies for photovoltaic systems using engineered phase change materials, targeting enhanced energy efficiency, extended lifespan, and system reliability in Saudi Arabia conditions. During his work, Dr. Ahmad also designed and developed a novel electronic data acquisition device for solar energy system monitoring, which is subject to a U.S. patent. Moreover, Dr. Ahmad employed machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions to advance the cooling strategies. The thermal management solution proposed by Dr. Ahmad can also be a great promise for cooling the next generation energy storage systems, and electric vehicles.

Dr. Ahmad interest centers on achieving net carbon zero emissions using clean technologies. Dr. Ahmad published several high impact work in multiple Q1 ranked journals. His work covered different topics including building integrated photovoltaic systems, solar purification devices, artificial intelligence, green hydrogen production and assessment, and smart solar green houses. His work on greenhouses won the Water-Energy-Food Nexus Research Competition held by IHE Delft and the American University of Beirut.

In addition to his research skills, Dr. Ahmad demonstrates a deep understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, along with impressive teaching abilities. He has served as a lecturer and lab supervisor for courses such as Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, and Robotics at Beirut Arab University, Matn University College, and other institutions such as VEX Robotics and Geek Express. Dr. Ahmad also exhibits excellent communication and presentation skills. Recently, he was granted the Best Presentation Award at the 10th International European ICACER Conference in France for presenting his work. This achievement was officially announced on the KFUPM website

Dr. Ahmad has strong experience in a wide range of engineering software tools related to 2D and 3D modeling, simulations, electrical circuit design and simulation, programming, rendering and visualization, as well as project planning, management, and coordination. Moreover, Dr. Ahmad exhibits technical expertise in solar energy systems, smart technologies (IOT, Robotics, and Mechatronics), and manufacturing.
