Al Ngullie is an award-winning journalist and writer whose work and credentials span news organizations across the U.K., the United States, Europe, and South Asia. He is one of the seniormost and pioneering journalists from Nagaland. He is currently the Associate Editor of the leading Northeast Indian TV news channel, HornbillTV.
Among a dozen other state, regional, and national recognitions, Al Ngullie is the only journalist from Nagaland to have won the National Media Award 2020. He has also won the All-India Journalists Inclusive Media Award 2010 and is a fellow of the Ratan Tata National Foundation of India.
Ngullie is also a two-time nominee for the Young Achievers' Award of Nagaland.
The author of ‘United Colors of Nagaland’ and the short story ‘A Walk into Angry Ally’, he also hosts several weekly and monthly TV shows on HornbillTV, including the weekly news explainer Beyond Headlines with Al Ngullie and the talk show The Big Word with Al Ngullie.
His interests include writing, martial arts, collecting books, philately, numismatics, and music education.
