Student and Volunteer in Caguas, Puerto Rico
Hello, my name is Alondra Najei Herrera Martinez and I am a student in the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao studying Marine Biology. My interest to choose this field of study has developed since I was a little girl. Ever since I can remember, my family and I would go to the beach all the weekends we could to go snorkeling and see the creatures and the corals. At age 17 I finally got my scuba diving license which was when I got to see a lot more than I had seen I I grew a lot. Also, I became a volunteer at the Manatee Conservation Center of Puerto Rico where I am able to learn a lot more and obtain experience. As I am currently in my first year in college and also working as a volunteer I will be able to grow as a professional and as an individual. I will like to use all the skills that i will acquire in my years in college to pursue a job working with the rehabilitation of marine animals.
