In case you're curious, the A stands for Alonford (pronounced "Ah-lon-ford"). I know, that's unique, but I've tried to live up to that uniqueness and I hope it shows through my life and work. I am the Founder and CEO of Symphonic Strategies, a strategy firm that designs innovative solutions to complex challenges. For nearly 20 years, I have studied, advised, and worked with leaders around the world on issues that range from corporate performance to community development. I have facilitated strategic conversations with executives at multi-national firms such as Coca-Cola, McDonald's, BMW, IBM, Heineken, and MasterCard and for governmental agencies throughout the United States. I'm also an accomplished teacher and my courses on strategy, leadership, and change management have been attended by leaders from the White House, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and many others in and outside of government. Finally, I've spent my professional career thinking about and working on complex challenges that require collective action and social innovation in order to solve them. I try to let my life speak for what I believe--when we see the impossible and play from the soul, we can move the crowd.
