Stefania Altomare interprets “Lost Stars”, a song written by New Radicals' Gregg Alexander for the movie “Begin Again” of the Irish director John Carney.
“I have loved “Begin Again” fot its simplicity , it explores and depicts the present situation of music industry: on one hand we've got the traditional one going on for a few Artists while on the other hand we've got a part of it which failes but rises up again due to the many chances given by the Web to the individual Musicians and in all this, it shows up the human side and the huge passion that pushes those who strongly believe in a project to get through it even on a budget -says Stefania Altomare- but I have mostly loved the soundtrack . Having been totally bewitched by the main song I kind of felt compelled to do my version of “LostStars”, I feel it really close to my musical world.”
The track has been totally produced and arranged by the Calabrian singer-songwriter who had fun playing and programming all of the instruments:
“In this song there is a mix of organic and electronic instruments” says Stefania Altomare- “I am pretty much into beat-making right now and it is a huge evolution for me having been playing acoustic instruments as a solo act or with bands for years , I have always dreamt to get synthetizers into my songs.I am mostly attracted by electronic music , I spend my time listening to Kraftwerk , Depeche Mode, A-ha , Sigur-Ròs and other contemporary composers such as Nils Frahm and Tom Adams ”.
“Lost Stars” is available on the main digital stores and on the most loved music streaming platforms alongside with the singles “A Time for Everything” and “I Love you from Faraway” which were previously released for streaming only.
