Allan Wick has been developing software since 1990, working exclusively in object technology since early 1992. His experience includes object modeling and design methodologies, project management and requirements gathering. Allan has worked on projects in several different industries including banking, energy, financial, logistics, catalog, insurance, and home inspections. He also has successfully employed agile practices including continuous integration and test driven development as well as implementing the SCRUM framework for development process.
Allan has worked with mentoring and training several teams of developers over the years. He developed and taught the Advanced Technical Certificate for Java Programming courses based on the Java J2EE and J2SE architectures at Waukesha County Technical College. This certification is comprised of; Introduction to Java programming, Distributed Java, and Enterprise Java courses. Additionally, Allan has taught Advanced Linux Development at MSOE.
Allan has also presented at the Wisconsin Java Users group, Madison Java Users group, and Fox Valley Java Users groups.
