Alyia Paulding
Nonprofit development professional in Pittsburgh, PA
Hi, I’m Alyia. (they/she)
I've worked in the nonprofit field for almost 20 years. I'm an idea factory who loves follow-through, a hired gun for effective communication, and an analytical/creative hybrid. I raise funds for work I deeply believe in by building genuine human connection.
Currently, I help PublicSource communicate the value of our local journalism and build relationships with donors and funders. I'm a lifelong Pittsburgher who’s passionate about continual learning and improvement, thinking about how and why we do things, and seeking a more just and equitable world. I love being part of teams that think deeply, work collaboratively, and honor individual strengths and perspectives. My sense of humor and curiosity are key to my professional approach.
Outside of work, I love crocheting, playing nerdy board games, gardening, reading, and hiking. My wife and I have three cats and watch a lot of great TV shows and enjoyably terrible movies.
