SMOT Virtual ONTV Internship

Are you looking for a virtual internship with a flexible schedule? Do you have an average of 1 hour to 90 minutes per day to commit to working with an innovative social benefit enterprise?

HitsWorks Enterprises, Authoring Action and Weefur Family Media (Team SMOT) is currently seeking Virtual Interns for the summer of 2015.

Team SMOT offers local internships for students at Salem College, Winston-Salem State University, Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina School of Arts and Forsyth Technical Community College.

SMOT is an acronym for - Social Media Onsite Training. The SMOT Virtual Internship Program is for creative students seeking hands on experience in audio and video productions, website development, graphics design, creative and grant writing, fund raising, business planning, marketing, research and a variety of other projects.

The SMOT Virtual summer internships run for 3 months providing 150-200 hours of work.

During your internship you will work virtually for 5-10 hours per week on projects of your choice such as crowd-funding campaigns, marketing, web design, video productions, podcasts, e-Learning classes, project management, and many more. The SMOT internship is designed to offer you the opportunity to develop and practice leadership skills by applying academic solutions to real life problems.

Even though there will be specific assignments required during your internship, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule.

While this is an unpaid internship, you will gain valuable experience and develop mutually beneficial relationships with professional mentors, businesses and non-profit organizations.

All participants who successfully complete the program will earn college credits in addition to a virtual resume, a letter of recommendation, a LinkedIn Recommendation, LinkedIn Skill Endorsements, and professional portfolio samples, as well as, recognition on HitsWorks Media Group’s Websites ( and for your contributions.

The SMOT Internship Program allows students with good communications skills, audio and video production experience, as well as animators and graphics designers to meet at our production studio monthly and to collaborate in a virtual environment while building skills and contributing to creative projects and like our 2015-2016 crowd-funding campaign.
