About a year ago I was working in the food industry when I had a customer come up to me and say "your makeup looks too good for you to be wasting it here", and from then on I was motivated to do something about it.
I have been interested in makeup since high school but only started considering it as a career path a year after graduating when I saw potential in myself. At 20 years old I began furthering my knowledge at the Aveda Institute Austin where I will be graduating in Esthetics in February of 2016. During this time I have volunteered at the Aveda BCRF Fashion show where me and a colleague did the makeup of a model for the runway. I also attended the James Ryder Makeup Lab 1 and 2 to learn camera- ready techniques. As well as those events, I participate in the Aveda Guest Appreciation Days and apply makeup for free for all the guests who come in and educate them on makeup, tips and technique.
I'm seeking a position in the beauty industry, and I want to grow with a company where I can work my way up to becoming an expert makeup artist.
