Dr. Alyssa Kim
Dr. Alyssa Kim received her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA after obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. Her residency training was at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She then went on to complete her fellowship training in Vitreo-Retinal Diseases and Surgery at West Virginia University where she was also clinical instructor supervising the training of resident ophthalmology physicians.
Prior to moving to Arizona in 2003, Dr. Kim grew up in southeastern Virginia. She began her retina practice in Mesa in 2004 and in Chandler in 2007. Her goals are to provide expert and compassionate medical care. Dr. Kim measures success by the quality of care given to each and every patient, not by the number of patients seen in a day.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, Arizona Ophthalmological Society and American Society of Ophthalmic Executives.
