Postdoctoral researcher at Intel® Parallel Computing Center project for code modernization of high energy physics simulation software at São Paulo State University, in partnership with Fermilab and CERN.

I have a PhD in aerospace engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My PhD thesis work focused on simulating the microstructures of solid rocket propellants. Before going to Illinois, I studied nuclear astrophysics at the University of Tokyo, in Japan.

Interested in nuclear and particle physics, astrophysics, astronomy, cosmology, high performance and scientific computing, Gentoo Linux, Unix, Intel® Xeon Phi™, SIMD vectorization techniques, CUDA programming, and related research topics.
