Amahle Mabope
Student and Life Sciences Tutor in Johannesburg
My name is Amahle Mabope, I am currently an undergraduate student, soon to be a teacher. I am doing my 3rd year at the University of Johannesburg majoring in Life Sciences and Geography.
Approximately three years ago, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. I am dedicated to fulfilling my goals and anticipate achieving all that is necessary to become an efficient and productive teacher. The desire to become a teacher has been felt while being the leader of the teenagers at church and always being the one who will explain content to my classmates in high school.
Having the privilege to be a grade 10 and 11 Life Sciences tutor at Kliptown High School and a first year Life Sciences tutor at the University of Johannesburg have been a good experience and educational for me as a future teacher.
I want to become a teacher because I enjoy serving others, and my father said I have a gift of talking too much. I have a passion for helping all children reach their potential and love to challenge students to be curious and take chances when learning. Knowing that I will be a teacher makes me happy, as I will be making the world a better place by changing one student’s life at a time.
In my copious free time, I enjoy reading novels, doing dance challenges, listen to good music, and spending time with friends and family.
My goal is to be a Professor in Science (Life Sciences) and discover new biological things. I want to be a lecture at a university. What I am anticipating most, is learning new things from my students as they are not empty vessels.
