Amal Purnama is a salary girl based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She works a day job in tech marketing and thinks like an artist. She processes life by turning feelings into photo stories, moving images, messy journals, unfinished projects, and whatever else she can’t not make. Her work grows out of the everyday — shaped by curiosity, and a trust in slow discovery.

Her work has been exhibited at Komunitas Salihara, JIPFest, and Ruang MES56, where she also joined the Youth of Today residency in 2023. Her visual essays and photo documentaries have been published in independent zines, Pagebluk.com, MerekaRekam.id and featured by Project Multatuli.
