My name is Amanda. I’m a senior at Mississippi State University, and I’ll graduate in May 2016. I major in biochemistry, concentrating in science and research, and minor in English. I am also working for both a TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) and a computational biology certification. I work as an undergraduate researcher in a veterinary parasitology lab, mainly working with ticks and tick-borne Rickettsia.
My husband and I got married in May 2015. We met in 2010 at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus, MS, and together we have an Australian shepherd named Copper.
I hope to get to share some of my writing here, about science, food, entertainment, and crafts. Because I have a variety of interests, I hope that this will be a pretty good medium for me to collect everything I think about and that is important to me. Hope you like it!
